Also I’d like an experienced person to spend an hour showing me tips, and I’ll get you lunch.90019892-DD20-43F7-989C-1279948B00B0.webp

sorry can't help welcome to Treasure net from TX

Welcome to Tnet from an Ohio coin shooter. Just know that when you notch out target segments you are also notching out the GOLD. I have dug gold in the foil segment, and the other 2 pull tab segments.

Nice uncut diamonds.
You can afford a big lunch!

yeah they look like diamonds, have em tested

I have to admit that I am a little skeptical of them being Diamonds but they have somewhat the appearance and Diamonds often form in Octahedron shapes. However, Fluorite has a similar appearance and also forms in the shape of an Octahedron. Please have them tested and post the results.

Welcome to tnet. From Niagara Falls.

Yea, my luck it’ll be fluorite... slowly walks to the whisky bottle...

great finds hope they are real what kind of detector did you get

see if you can scratch glass with it. Mohs scale for flourite is 4

Nice start. Some junk just sounds to good to be true no matter what machine you use. Well maybe a few give you a hint. We all dig junk.

I got a Minelab 705 to start with, and a $29 pinpointer which seems to work well for now.

I think flourite as well , but decent whiskey makes it better - right ??

Welcome to the forum!:occasion14:

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft:

Well the gemologist said it wasn’t diamond, she didn’t know what it was, maybe quartz. She looked at them a fairly long time. After Huntsman53 shattered my hope, I was prepared, if not a little hung over.

Congrats and welcome to T-Net from Northern Virginia!:hello:

Funny, I held of stating my guess, but it was some kind of quartz. Still an interesting find, just not valuable.

I'd still have to get a diamond tester to make sure. White fluorite is rare in Colorado and we are known for mineral specimens. Most of the fluorite around here is purple. Cripple Creek gold wasn't discovered until 1891 because there were not many good geologist/prospectors at the time. Cripple Creek ore is refractory. There have been some large diamonds found there too. Link below shows typical ore in fluorite.
