2/16 - $100 Nickels

Sounds like a good day on the nickels.....Buffalo's are always a good find. I found a 1937-d with my detector today. It looks like it was burried the day it was made....would have been maybe an AU grade.......but unfortunatly they come out of the ground dark brown.

Wow, I don't hear of people getting old nickels with their detectors very often. Very nice find on your Buff. It's still too cold here to get any detecting done.

Not a bad day with the nicks! I got $20 worth a week ago and ended up with only 1 keeper, but it was a 43S war nick, so I cant complain too much. HH

Well done with the buffalos Brian! You might have set a record with the largest $ amount searched without finding a war nickel.

Haven't found a buffalo yet this year. I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms!

Made a belated resolution to search pennies more. Yesterday's $10 yielded -

1954D
1955D
1957
1957D (wheat total now 2877)

1974 Canadian

1991D & 2004D dimes (and these came out of a slot machine!)

Yeah, it's an odd day when I don't find a war nickel. I won't complain though with the two buffalos, even though their dates are worn off. So far this year with nickels I have gotten $1,100 worth and found 10 war nickels, 26 foreign, and 5 buffalos.

That's crazy! I go through a lot of nickels...I've yet to find any buffalo. I've only found one war-time. Well...not complaining, I find my share of keepers. Great job! :D
