2.5Hrs - LOADS OF RELICS & SILVER!!!

Went for a quick detect after work. Finished this productive area so it will be a slog at the weekend.

I now believe I digging a 1890s-1920s dump. For every keeper I dug 20 bits of rubbish. A lot of holes but I didn't want to leave, however my stomach told me otherwise.

3 WWI capbadges
Loads of buttons including a Military Austie
1918 silver shilling

Broken silver thimble with the bust of Charles I therefore could be 1620s 8)
A nice Boy Scouts buckle plate
& stuff.........

Some very nice relics/buttons there and even the "trash coins" are nice.

Nice finds and thanks for sharing the English relics, they are great! I found my only silver thimble in England dated mid 1700s and not deemed treasure, got to take it home. I have found hundreds here in Germany, mostly copper, some aluminum and a few Medieval bronzes but never a silver thimble. England has had a strong economy for centuries. HH, Mike
