Got out for a short time only the last couple of days. First day I actually had to take my daughter to get her nails done and while she was getting them done I went to the small tot lot right across the street. I was not there long but still ended up with 51 cents and an earring with 3 small stones. Of course it is not gold and diamonds but that is ok. I'll take it.

Then this morning I got out for a little over an hour and did a little better. I found a fire truck buried about 8 inches in the sand box, a bicycle brake handle, a sony ear piece, a jeans snap, $1.82 in clad plus I found another earring. Again it is junk and very bent up but... I'll take it.

Here are the two earrings closeup.

Love those pulltabs,

Actually as much as I joke about them there is another reason I like them.

1. if they are old and crusty I sell them with my cans

2. If they are shiny and new looking like some of yours I stuff them in a ziplock bag and take them to Wal-Mart for the Children's Lukemia treatment donation jar.

I don't know if Wal-Mart does this everywhere but here in Dallas one pulltab will buy another Lukemia treatment for a child.

That is why I consider pulltabs a real treasure and why I always keep them, especially the new ones.

Have a great day.

I'm with you Jeep. Our club also collects pull tabs for two different charities so I make a point to pick them up when I see them. I also save my soda cans for my grandson but take the tabs off for my club. As far as I am concerned... every little bit helps. :icon_sunny:
