Not sure what the saying is exactly but along the lines of Mad Dogs & Englishmen go out in the midday Sun. That was me today nearly getting sun stroke, strange seeing as last week I was out in a hail storm.
Anyway I tried 2 fields today with success:
Star finds:
1907 Silver Shilling
Victorian Token advertising a London ironmongers (see a better image of one I found on the web)
Stunning 17-18th century double-headed sword belt hook (part of a buckle set)
Another high quality pewter buckle, not in my book but I guess 17th century spur buckle?
2 WWI capbadges/shoulder badge, one with LS? not sure what it stands for?
