A few interesting finds from my last few hunts on the north shore of Long Island. The smaller musket ball and both flat buttons were found in a wooded area by a beach. The button with the crown appears to be a British button from circa 1822, and the button with the Old English font I can't positively I.D.

Yesterday I found the larger musket ball in the woods, relatively close to an armory that was used during the Revolutionary War-- I'm not sure if the larger ball is from that era or not. I believe the smaller ball is Civil War era.

Any opinions on the date of the larger ball?
