Hello !

A customer visit and meeting today at the end of the day took me out near my old house so after the meeting I popped in to my old good place that's now a school site also and searched around the soccer field sidelines.

I found $4.20 total, 48 total coins. I hit a silver "vein" and ended up digging a 1958D Washington, a 1940 Merc, a 1958D Roozevelt, 2 wheats, and a bent Sterling ring that has an "A" on it (sorry, it's upside-down in the scan) all found at 4 to 6 inches deep. All these were found in about a 20 foot square area. Just like the good ole days...lol. All my other finds were clad found closer to the surface mostly.

What a great day it was out there, weather wise and all the nice keepers.

Good luck to you all!

Smiles!

Nice bunch of digs BDoo!

Just about an hour ago I got my first silver in weeks. I mainly go after relics so this is only my 5th silver in the last 7 weeks.

I haven't found a pocket of silver in years.

Best,

Badger

Hi dekalb

It says "Sterling" on the inside of the band, so it is silver. I wish it was gold, but I'll take it for sure. Love the rings!
Thanks for stopping!

Hello

Nice finds.. have you ever noticed that when we find Mercs they are worn in the same place?
case in point. Check the back right side of your coin... hmmm just an observation.

M

Hi M

Hmmm, I'll have to check that out on my other ones. I have dug several Mercs this year. Thanks for pointing that out, interesting.

It's hard to get my bearings at this place now, that is how it used to be in it's old status but I am pretty sure this was an area that was one of the highly traveled cart paths that were there. They were sandy and maybe these sunk down deep enough not to be scraped away when they re-landscaped and did the soccer feild. Just speculating...

Thanks GC!

This place was literally a gold mine in the day (twenty + years ago) and I have found hundreds of silver coins there and over 60 gold rings and over 100 silver rings and I guess there is still some hiding out in this place. Most of the land is overgrown with five feet tall weeds unfortunately.

Thanks Badger!
