Went back too my hillside today. Picking coins right off the top of the ground again including 4 or 5 wheats and the 1964 quarter. Indians are 1891 and 1909. Tried another little area and got the nickel, the War Nickel and a few wheats. 1944P War Nickel was playing around in standard coin and got a single ding. Second war nickel with the AT Pro and they both had really crappy signals in pro coin. Wasn't sure that I didn't simply have a slug, but the size was right for a 2 Cent and the corrosion looked copper or bronze. Got home could see some denticles and the top part of STATES. Not much else except corrosion. Two knives. First two pics are from a couple of short hunts I've done there in the last couple of weeks. One area produced trash, a couple of who knows, a piece of brass and a stripper clip. Second hunt produced a handful of coins, including 6 wheats.

Nice stuff, nice finds!

Looks like a good day to me. Heck for me that would be the best day so far.

Got the 2 Center in lemon juice at the moment. Looks like a 1869.

Good day digging! Cool stuff! HH!

Great finds, HH!

2 Center, double silver, wheats, Indians!!, oh my now that's what I call a hunt!!

Sweet finds, your two center looks like the one i just found i hate when the corrosion is this bad..

Believe me thats the best day I've had in a long time, maybe ever, at least as far as keeper coins go.

Great Haul!!!

How did that 2 center read on the ATP?

Lol, can't really tell you. was checking out a area adjacent to the area I have been hunting and was going pretty fast, using standard coin. It was getting into dusk and I was just moving through it. I often don't pay a lot of attention to VDI anyway, listening is more productive. Not even sure whether I ever checked it.

Congrats! :occasion18::blob9::occasion18: Seems like each time you detect in that area, the finds get better! :icon_thumright: Andi

Yep. It'll keep me going back. I been running a lot of discrimination because of the sheer amount of signals. Reducing the discrimination level each time I go. I plan on hunting until I can't find a signal. I figure some rain would help things out, a lot of this area was like concrete.

Yeah, but its my first one, and I'd rather have a toasted one than never find one at all.

Very successful hunt with some great digs! That 2 Cent Piece might be a candidate for some electrolysis cleaning? It should look much better after a try...
