OK, I went out detectin again today for a little while and wasn't getting any hits.I decided to go back to the area where I found the button the other day.I was swinging along when I got a good diggable signal.Out pops another button that's in better shape than the last.I have been referred to other links in the what is it section and all I seem to find are cuff link size buttons. As you can see these are alot bigger than any I have been linked to.Has any body found one of these that is this size?
Thanks for looking, HB

There has been a few posted the last week or so but I'm not sure of the sizes. I found this one 2-3 weeks in a park.

"Once again we hit paydirt. I retrieved a button made of brass, the face of the button bore the image of a three legged eagle and around the rim were the words Es Devs Spes Nostra. Having as a friend a priest who speaks Latin really helped. He later told me that the words in English meant " God Is Our Hope." Further research reveled that the eagle is a Teutonic eagle. The button may have come of a Hessian soldier, mercenaries used by the British during the Revolutionary War. However, modern "blazer buttons of this type are often found"

The information above is from article in Western & Eastern Treasures magazine, February 1996.

I think ours are repos.
