2 More Rings, $8 In Clad, Silver Quarter & Wheats
Hi all,
I began my hunting adventure today by checking wood chips at a school about 6 miles away..I went there before the summer break and didn't find one thing there, not even a penny
Today was just about the same, no coins, only a zipper pull until..ring #53 popped out near one of the play structures, a very unique religious 925 silver.
On the way home I saw an old school so I checked out the small field that contained soccer goals and a seating area. Here I found my oldest Washington quarter so far, a 1943. I also dug up 2 wheats in the same area, a 1941-P and 1951-P.
Then on the opposite side of the field I found ring #54. It looks costume, but it's heavy and very old. The design looks to be hand carved.
Then I found what looks like a button..never found one quite like it before. It looks like it has a nickel backing.
I went home, then went right back to the field and pounded it for another hour or two..not one other silver coin was to be had, but I added a little over $8 in clad to my yearly total.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
