I tried a new spot today and didnt find much there , just some shot gun shells. On the way home I went to a spot that I have hit really hard already. I found the wide ring looking thing and then the broken ring. I thought the broken was silver at first , until i saw where it had snapped. There was trees down every where from a bad storm last week so the going was tough. I dug the suspender clip next. I was feeling like I was gonna get skunked so I decided to switch to a different area. As I stepped unto the trail the glint of gold caught the corner of my eye. I saw it was round and was expecting an aluminum screw cap or the band that stays on the bottle. There is alot of that type of trash right next to the trail there. Well I was surprised when I grabbed it and saw an earring. Not a junk earring a gold one!! Lucky I spotted it I had the disc on my Vaquero a line bellow nickel and it wont pick up the gold I have found so far that high. I checked it and it discs out around 1 1/2 lines above above iron. The marking is tiny I cant read it with my lens , but I convinced its real. I have seen enough junk to tell the difference. Happy Hunting Everyone
