Came across these 2 similar rock carvings about 10 years ago while detecting. They are about 10 meters away from each other. The coin is a Canadian 5 cent for sizing. Any ideas what the symbol could be?

It would help to know what part of our country you found this in... if I remember correctly, you're located in Ontario?
These might be from the Indigenous People, but to me, the 'square' surrounding the 'eye' looks out of place. :icon_scratch:

You might want to consider contacting:

You might also want to post this in the Tnet Artifact Forum below

Best of luck to you,

I am going to say and hope that they are Viking carvings! Also, note the different positioning of the eye's within the squares which must have some significance. It is like the first one is saying, look to the left and the second one saying, look straight ahead. Of course, they could be backwards.:dontknow:

Definitely looks intentional and hard to say what they mean? Where are they?

they are very small...i have seen somewhat similar Native American images supposedly representing female genitalia but yours does not seem to be. the square outline seems really odd. an "allseeing eye" would be in a triangle. I have a hunch it is not native or all that old.
