This is the second time this has happened to me in the last year, went up to the same site that produced the last 2 buttons i found last year, though it was hunted out, went nice and slow with the machine even a slite beep i dug down and inch or two if the signal got stronger i dug it.Sometimes with those faint iron signals it just to deep for the machine,i have learned to take an inch or two off the top and see if the signal gets stronger dont pass them by.These buttons were 10 to 12 inches down, got 1 out of the hole ran my coil over the pile another one UNBELIEVABLE,i cant believe i found two more.

Great 1830's Eagle I's!! several early artilleries from that period but never one of those yet.. very sweet and youre right on in your message about removing a bit of dirt to see if the signal strengthens

Great buttons. Are they Civil war period?

Those are excellent dug condition! So good I'd have a hard time not wanting to clean them and make them shine.

Very nice eagle I's! :icon_thumright:
