2 string boxes of halves

Both skunks. I don't know how some of you guys do so many boxes. Skunked on my last 4 boxes now. I just have way better luck with customer rolls. I did pick up $300 in customer rolls, only got 1 40% though, better than the boxes I guess.
On the upside I think my bank will start selling me machine bags again. When I picked up the $300 in customer rolls I got a call from the bank when I got home. She said the guy who dropped them off called them and said he was shorted on his money. He claimed they were all gold dollar coins that were rolled. She asked if I would bring them back in so they could verify. I gladly did, and they were very appreciative. I then asked why they couldn't sell bags off the machine anymore. I was told 1 guy ruined it because he had them order half dollar boxes and would dump them all right into their machine. He did this every week. I told them that I have other banks to return my coin and I wouldn't ever do that them. She told me she would talk to the manager about it and let me know when I come back in. But it sounds like the guy who was dumping all those coins isn't allowed to use their machine anymore, so I probably won't get any skunk bags if they do let me buy them. I hope it works out, I had some nice bag scores in the past there. Especially with dimes.

but without a crh dumping a bag takes forever to fill, thats the only downside... but gl. boxes you just got to be patient.... skunks or a few for a bit but then when you hit a box with 20 it all pays off...

Sorry to hear about the skunks, I'm in a drought too -- 7 skunk boxes out of the last 8 I have pulled.
Hope things work out on the bags. Doing right by the folks at the bank may help open that option up for you.

Yep, we are alike in the fact that I don't have patience anymore for boxes. I just can't hang with some of the folks on here when it comes to persistance. I like the cwr's too. Too bad 'bout the skunky box(s)

I also have had bad luck with boxes.But I deep on getting them and I did score some silver last week. I don't score asmuch as some of you guys and gals here but I do get some each month......Matt

I do quite a few boxes, I just take a lot of breaks in between if I'm on a skunk streak. Then I'll order more boxes a few weeks later, and if I pull some silver, I'll try to keep ordering them until I get a bunch of skunks. In the weeks between I do a lot of cwr, and I hit up garage sales. I take my detector out whens it's nice out. I killed it garage sales over the weekend. Got over $100 in gold and silver for $2. Sooo many people know nothing about precious metal value, even in jewelry. So I'm still getting my silver for cheap.
I really do hope this bank will start calling me when the bags fill, we will see. I know it takes a while for bags to fill if a roll hunter isn't dumping a lot, but I'd rather wait for them to fill and have some silver. The worst bag of dimes I got at this bank before still had 9 silvers. Usually I got 15-20 silvers per bag of dimes. It would be nice to have those kind of scores again.
