Looks like a bull horn knob.
I do believe you’ve nailed it pepps🌶️!! I’ve found a few near exact matches online. I’m really excited about this find! Very grateful to have folks such as yourself to consult with as I never would have thought of that. Thanks again.

They're not really a common recovery in my parts.
Only dug a couple in 50+ yrs.

Sincere thanks to you Relevant for taking time out for the ID! Looking at the overall shape I do believe that you are correct, although so close to what pepper 🌶️ suggested. I thank both of you and appreciate your knowledge and willingness to come to my aid.
i've a pair in the front yard on or under a decrepit wagon..

Pepper is indeed a heck of resource on many things.
