:8O Well, once again I feel very lucky to live in a part of the country where there are still some treasures to be rescued and respected. It has been so very hot that I got up at 4 am on Saturday and was swinging early. I even had to wear my light jacket for about an hour. :-P I Started out in one of my usual hotspots and it wasn't long before I hit pay dirt. I found 18 General Service Eagle Buttons and 2 "I" Eagle Buttons. (worn by Infantry Officers, I'm told) One of them is even 7/8" instead of 3/4". ^-^ Also I found a really cool tiny Crucifix that looks about as old as the other relics I'm finding, one unspent Cartridge and a suspender component. Not pictured was an old piece of iron wagon hitch, a toy gun & the 20th Eagle Button which I gave to the land owner. I'm telling you, these people are so accommodating and friendly, it blows my mind. ^_^ Thanks for looking and keep swinging.

All in one hunt :o amazing day, I'm still looking for my first. Awesome finds. HH!

Depending on how the buttons were spaced, I'd guess you came across the remains of a coat :o
You got a banner vote here

Thanks for the vote Will. I found most of them within a 10' radius and probably 6 of those were in an 18" radius. I slowed down my swing significantly and it made an amazing difference. Before I kept a faster pace because of the mosquitoes and the deer flies. Now I wonder what else I missed. :dontknow:

Nice GS Eagles. Keep at it, there ought to be some insignia in there as well.

Always nice to find CW relics out west.
