From what I heard, you are not suppose to clean your coins. I ran up on this . To my knowledge, I know this is not an error. I'm wondering should I clean it to remove it or just let it stay as is? I'm just asking. I know it didn't come from the mint like this.

Yepper, that's what we call "adhesive doubling". Acetone should take it off, but why bother!

Why would you have it slabbed. It's just something sticky on the coin that picked up the design from another coin. Usually glue.

enamel7 is correct and besides, the coin would likely come back in a body bag with notation about the gunk!
