Re: 2006 Ohio Finds

Thanks... I think I have over 65 Merc's since 2004.. The Merc in the top right corner was found next to a tall tree that is hit a few times a year
by lighting. I just now this year started hitting Quarters.. I played with the DFX Settings a little..now I have to re hit the areas I have done before.

I have 31 Silver Rosies this year (haven't scanned yet)... I can hit the dimes pretty good...It's the bigger coins I'm having a problem with.

Zo, very impressive.

I'm a coin collector and the '40's and '50's Quarters are starting to get expensive to buy.
be careful on the cleaning.

good job, wish i could dig that much silver.

Re: 2006 Ohio Finds

Hey ZoSo. I saw ZoSo at last year's Summer Fest at the Berea Fairgrounds. I was very impressed. Same goes for your finds. From one site? You didn't hunt our site before we got there? ;) :D

I use to think the Cleveland area wasn't the best place as there are lots of people with metal detectors and most of the public places have been hunted hard but even those places still produce. We don't quite have the history that NY, MA, VA, etc have but there still is some great stuff to be found.

Welcome to TNET DUDE. ;D

BTW - my son hunts with me( he's 17) and uses the DFX. I use the Explorer II.

Re: 2006 Ohio Finds

Thanks Mirage..

LOL..I was at the Summer Fest as well...(I see them a few times a year)

These finds were found on a 200+ acre site, 20 or 30 miles East of Cleveland.

I can date the land to 1930's, But no records before that. I find a few large cent's a year.
I live on the land during the summer, So after work hunts are easy.
Now that I'm home for the winter.. I hate thinking about driving all that way.....

I have never hunted a Public place before. (except a few hunts at Wallace Lake) I started this hobby about 15 years ago with a Big-Bud and a shovel. I never had to leave this area.. I started using the DFX about 2 1/2 years ago. I just can't seem to put the dang thing down...

Thanks

Re: 2006 Ohio Finds

That's a lot better than my OH 2006 finds. However, I just got back into detecting in August. I was bottle digging 'til then. Congrats on some awesome finds.
