2011 (Halves boxes) skunk streak now 24 and counting

Almost half of what my worst streak was in 2009 (51 in a row). Just not much silver out here. ever. Still only two boxes of 10 or more silvers in them in 4 years of hard searching. My 2011 average is back to 1 silver every 6.7 boxes. It as lower after I found a few boxes with 2 or 3 in them. (Called "Arizona dream boxes" LOLOL) Getting 24 skunks in a row does that to you though.

Still finding a few here and there in loose rolls, but boxes just don't work. I did 1 box at 24 different branches of various banks which are all on my CRH route, just so they remembered that I do halves. BUt not a silver in any of them.

BUmmer.

Onward though. I think I'll take a break from boxes again on halves. Just do dimes and nickels andpennies ongoing, and ask for the loose halves every time I am in there for the other coins. That's been my success over the last 4 years. Loose rolls and coins that they save for me since they know I want ALL halves, (even those known to be clad. Just want them to save all fo them for ME) But boxes just never have worked out for me in AZ. Time to throw in the towel on boxes (Of halves).

Glad for all you easterners that are still doing well. Keep it up. It at least gives me a smile to read it. :-) I'll work the other denominations though.

your due for a dream box man, just keep at it and hold your head up. I know it's probably frustrating. I always do mini road trips, so when I get skunked I'm out on gas money too which makes it pretty rough. At least when you do boxes you probably don't have to do too much driving.

Man, I hear you. I live east of the Mississippi, and am on a 13 box skunk streak.

Even though my dumping is much easier, it is still a pain in the neck.

I'd be thrilled to find just a few 40%'s in a box...and sometimes can't imagine the huge silver finds that some are getting.
