Alrighty, this here is my year-end post...
2017 has proven to be a strange and terrible saga in regards to coin roll hunting indeed, at least for me. Both my pick-up and dump bank networks put me through the wringer this year; missing orders, boxes sold out from under me, refusals to order coins, revoked dumping rights from just about every bank I had in my dump strategy, getting other hunters' dumps, and loooooooooong loooong long strings of skunk boxes.
And I do mean LOOOOOOONG skunks streaks. The longest being almost 70 boxes if not more, I gave up counting at 65.
Despite all of that I was able to pull in some silver and add to my stack. I didn't get anywhere near my annual goal of 100 ozt., actually just over half of that. But the stack grew and that is really all that matters.
I started keeping more detailed records. There were 16 weeks where I didn't hunt at all, which is certainly a big reason why I didn't get closer to my goal for the year. I picked up a total of
149 boxes of halves,
three boxes of dimes, and
one box of nickels. I also searched through
$11,847 in CWR of halves and
$600 in CWR of dimes.
Total silver found in 2017:
51.18 ozt.
Highlights were few and far between, but here they are:
