Nothing but skunks! Ugh. I really need to reevaluate my pick-up strategy.

Here is my mid-year tally:

I've searched 107 boxes of halves so far this year + $4,823.00 in CWR, MWR, and loose halves.

I've found a lowly 33.81 ozt in silver. That's one ounce of silver for every $1,724.95 searched. Not very good numbers. This time last year I was at 80+ ozt in silver.

I've been going thru 10 boxes a week for the last 2 months and only coming up with a couple silvers here and there . I'm taking a break from the boxes and stick with cwr for a while .

The CWR of halves in my area are practically all other hunters' dumps. I've found a few 40%ers here and there out of the CWR towards the beginning of the year, but for the last four or five months it's been nothing but other hunters' dumps.

Well, just as I was expounding on the CWR situation in my area and how they are practically all other hunters' dumps...

I picked up $380 in CWR of halves yesterday afternoon on my way home from work that gave up fourteen 40%ers:

1965
1966 x 2
1967 x 3
1968D x 4
1969D x 4

One of the bigger scores for me this year, which ain't sayin' much. But I am thankful for coming across these rolls nontheless.

Broke a 50-something+ skunk streak by finding two 40%ers in a box of halves last night:

1965
1967

Man, it is tough hunting these days!

Definitely. Mine wasn't near as long as yours but I broke my 18 box skunk streak this week too.

wow congrats on finding some silvers!! Hopefully this is the turning point and we will find some silver now!

Two more 40%ers out of a box of halves this weekend:

1967
1969D

Hopefully this means my dry spell is over.

Hope it is too and you find a bunch!

Picked up $263.50 in CWR of halves and loose halves yesterday that gave up one 40%er: 1966.

Picked up $140 in CWR of halves + $20 in MWR of halves + $13.50 in loose halves, as well as a $20 CWR of Ikes, today on my lunch break.

One of the MWR of halves has a reverse Kennedy ender, so I know I'm getting at least one silver out of what I picked up today.

Got a few interesting bills as change when I picked up the Ikes:

Nice! I'm still hoping I will run into some red seals and silver certs in the wild.

From the halves, that reverse ender was the only silver: 1964. At least it was a 90%er.

Nothing of note from the Ikes.

My last two halves were both enders and both the only silver in each of their respective boxes. They like to tease us haha.

Picked up two boxes of halves + $40 in CWR of halves yesterday, skunked on the boxes.

CWR gave up two 40%ers:

1966
1967

Boxes of halves have been terrible, skunk city.

That is, until the box that I picked up yesterday on my lunch break; which gave up four 90%ers, including three Bens, and three 40%ers:

1952
1962D
1963
1964
1966
1967
1968D
