Got out for a 1 hour hunt today before night work in San Francisco . Hunted a park not more than a mile from my house . This park has never given up gold in the 16 years I have hunted it , today that ended in a big way ! The very last target before walking to my truck I had a +32 at three inches . I thought just more trash , but no not this time

. I saw the edge of a gold ring and it was dark gold ! It turned out to be my first ever 22k gold ring ! It's a signet ring with the letter R and weighs 8.1 grams . It has three hallmarks but the only one I can make out is the 22K mark . I tested it just to make sure and it pasted

That's how its done Glenn. Same manor I got my 1797 largie. Congrats!

to find 126 rings in one year, you must be a detecting fool! I dig tons of trash at the mid tones each hunt trying to pull another ring but I have only 3 in the last year and a half. I'll take each one that wants to be found though. Congrats on a beauty.

Pl8man, I am just glad that you dont live anywhere close to me. At least I know that there is still stuff in the ground around me. Congrats, gr8 (lol) find.

Gotta love those last minute finds! Great job.

The targets you start not to dig are always the best. Every time I'm tired and in a lot of pain and I get a signal, I say to myself, it's just more junk and trash. But, that little voice whispers in my ear and it's something good most of the time.
Fantastic find on the 22K ring. Congratulations. Another item on my wish list. I've found 10K, 14K & 18K, but I'm still looking for my first 22K ring. I have never found anything but costume jewelry in parks, ball fields or tot lots, but hope that changes soon.

WOW! Awesome gold Glen!!! Congrats

Thanks everyone for the nice comments ! Just woke up and read them all . Now back San Francisco for more night work :icon_thumright:

The "lowest" wow , I did Construction work Dry wall mostly & a good bit of painting a few years back & after many of those days Metal Detecting would be the last thing my body would want to do , now my mind is another thing.
I hope your the Boss Man and don't do too much hard labor also those folks in the Bay area & around must loose a lot of bling to keep your hunting grounds stocked. Keep it up & thanks for the reply. Davers
