$25 in Pennies

Decent mixture of hand-rolled and machine rolled pennies produced:

10 wheats - 40, 45S (x2), 52D, 52S, 55D, 56D(x2), 57D, 58D
3 Canadians - 94, 00, 08
10 dimes

Very strange with the dimes. Do any of you know if dealers do "grab bags" at shows? The dimes came out of a handful of customer rolls. All were wrapped in the same type of roll. There was one roll with three dimes, another with five dimes, one roll with a dime and a wheat, and one roll with one dime and a folded up piece of paper with the number "6" on it. Got me thinking that maybe these were some sort of grab bag type of item where if you pulled a number out of a roll, you could exchange it for some pre-selected coin. Sportscard dealers used to do these type of grab bags all the time at shows.

I haven't figured out the amount of copper, but I would guess that it is near the standard 20%.

The cheap coin sorters like to drop the dimes into the penny slot on occasion. If the rolls were the "shot gun shell" type of rolls that's probably where the dimes came from. Other times a dark colored dime will make it's way into CWR's simply because they look like a penny if you're not paying close attention.
