is a solid silver button ....I not understand of buttons. considering that most findings in this area are of the 15th, 16th and 17 th Century. :dontknow: is very difficult to ascertain ... I would say the 16th century .

That button looks better than the day it was made! :thumbsup:
 

The silver buttons previous the 18th century are solid and geometric decoration, the back is straight and hitch is thick.

In the later 18th century and change shape , the hooks are thinner.

depends on finding .... if it is of little value simply plastic water and brush.
