Yesterday I posted some finds on a short hunt last night on a new sight. Went back for a couple hours tonight and improved. Dug a lot of trash also to get it out of the way. The ground is still very, very dry here. Hopefully down the road sometime, I will able to hit this one again with damp soil. Here are some of my favorite finds from this trip...

1910 Wheat (my oldest wheat dug)
1905 IHP
1916 Buffalo Nickel
1902 Dog Tax tag
2 Contoure Powder compacts
Another complete Crotal bell
Coal Tag & some miscellaneous

very nice job on the dog tag and the indian cent and the buffalo! :)

Nice tag, something we don't get in the UK.

Very nice hunt buddy.
The silver is eluding me so far here, I guess one of the other guys that detected got a couple silver rosies but there should be some old deep stuff, I hope!

I get excited about something being 100 years old, I can't imagine finding stuff 200 years older like you do. Keep posting those great finds, I enjoy looking at them.

Thanks everybody!

Looks like Mark was a busy boy! Those are some great finds bud! I love the dog tag, and they sell for some good bucks on E-bay too! I feel your pain about the ground being dry, even after the rain we got yesterday its still like concrete and I have been limiting my hunting till it softens up a bit. Hope to get with ya soon and do some huntin  Keep up the great work!

Nice dog tax dog tag. I found one from 1932 earlier in the year and sold it on EBAY for $43 plus shipping. I guess there are alot of collectors of these things out there. My recommendation is SELL!

Sweet digs.

The dog tag is by far the best find you have there. I have been told that anything before 1910 generally sells for a premium, and yours is in fantastic shape.

Thanks for sharing.

nice finds, living in southern michigan myself, your finds look a lot like ones I've dug, almost every buffalo nickel I've dug looks exactly like that. Love it! way to go! HH
