2nd gold ring found on beach in Dubai... and it's a beauty!

Hi All,

My metal detecting buddies and I went out last night at low tide and I got lucky! This thing is so gaudy that I thought at first it was a "junk ring" but then I saw the 22k and did the happy dance!

It fits me perfectly so I assume a man wore it but I guess a fat woman could have worn it as well.

Holy hardstones..just looked at it full sized, and realized there's, at
minimum, a [combined] carat of diamonds set all over that thing...

As for the gemstone, does it look like a ruby to anyone else?

What are the legalities behind detecting in dubai? I was under the impression that it was a huge issue with people and tourists past - but i have no stone sources just what i;ve heard.
