WoooHooo! What a morning! Hit a local park I hadn't done much at and doesn't look like anyone else has either. All of these were within 3 inches!!!! First find was my first Washington Quarter, 1959 D, this coin was under some moss on top of a rock, good thing too. At the base of the same rock wedged between it and another rock was this 1963 D Rosie. The good thing about the quarter being right on top is that the area(no real hole) was still beeping mad. I lifted the second rock out of the way and...nothing, I swept the rock itself and screaming mad signal. I tipped, flipped and scanned the rock from all angles, screaming mad. My luck was good because if that quarter wasn't so obvious and I had discovered the rock setting the machine mad I would never have found either coin:hello2:.
Next up was the Spanish Peseta, which of course has that nice gold look to it(aluminum-bronze).:dontknow:. Then, after two pull tabs, right near the surface pops up this 1944 Merc! Finally, an inch or less under the dirt came up this 1848 Victoria Farthing! My oldest found coin to date! My best detecting day of my life so far! 19591D2.JPG18481.JPG1944Merc2.JPG1944Merc1.JPGPeseta2.JPGPeseta1.JPG19631D2.JPG19631D1.JPG19591D1.JPG18482.JPG

Awesome finds, sounds like there should be plenty more at that site, great hunt! !

YOU talking about DETAIL, man your coins really stand out, the clarity is awesome, vanzutphen

Thanks sutphin. The camera is a Kodak EasyShare ZD710 and the software is Google's Picasa 3, works really well for me.

Awesome Farthing, anything with a portrait of Queen Victoria on it is really special in my book. Very good condition too for 1848! Nice silvers too. :treasurechest::thumbsup:
Too bad you had to dig a Franco, every time I see his face I'm forced to think of the bombing of Guernica. Really no excuse for that fascist dictator to remain in power for as long as he did.

Congrats Q4! That's an impressive haul of treasure. Very well done. GL&HH!

Wow what a great day! You have to be stoked about going back out to that spot. Congratulations.

Impressive multicultural hunt! Congrats on the silvers. Sub 8-)

Awesome finds. :headbang: Have fun pounding that park. :metaldetector:

Awesome! Lots of silver! That is a terrific spot!

That was a day well spent! I haven't seen that many goodies since they closed the last Ben Franklin store I was in. Hope you only scratched the surface.
