Had a busy day today and yesterday. Found the 1943 Merc at a playground (that previously gave me my only buffalo) yesterday. Today, found the 1925-S Merc at a closed elementary school. (built in 1927) and on the way home hit a park and found the bracelet near a tree, one link was popping out of the ground so it was recently lost. The clasps on both ends show 925 and Italy, feels heavy, gave a 46-47 with the e-trac so it appears legit.

sweet silver finds, congrats!

Beautiful finds ! That bracelet is a score , and two mercs are always nice .

Lots of silver..Nice...:occasion14:

Great bracelet! That's what's known as a curb or Cuban link. It's generally the heaviest type of link used on chains and bracelets. Must be heavy. I knew someone who found an 18k chain with this type of link and it weighed 118 grams. Must have made your day to find that bracelet. Way to go.

You had a fabulous day. The school built in 1927 would demand a LOT of my time swinging the coil. There is a lot of history there as you know. If the pickings are slim in the obvious places get out away from the school and see if you do better. If you found one mercury dime there I guarantee you there is more silver waiting to be found. Each time you go pick a 10' x 20' section and grid it in every direction. Save the school as your "go to when I have nowhere else to go" place. Great job finding the mercs and bracelet.

Yes siree that looks like a big chunk of silver congratulations and happy hunting.

Great finds! How did that braclet read ? In the high gold range?

You might want to do a silver acid test on it. Lots of plated jewelry out of Italy improperly marked.

Great finds. Too bad it wasn't a 1926-s Merc. I don't have my guide but those I believe are a bit more valuable in the series.

Congrats on the silver. Keep her going!

Cool finds!!!! I'm still searching for my silver; it will happen one day!

Very nice, keep it up

Will do an acid test and let you know. I'm suspicious it might be plated with 925 clasps. My signal is 45-46. With big silver it should be higher like 46-48.

Forgot to mention. The old school has very little grass around it.

Update, The silver chain passed the acid test. The drop stayed the same amber/red color, thus making it a legit silver chain. I tried a drop on a known plated silver and it quickly turned the drop blue.
