Weber spent one year searching for the Conception and found nothing. He ran out of money. Weber went back to his investors and asked for more money for a second attempt AND THEY GAVE IT TO HIM! The rest is history.
 
John D. Craig was a reputable source and he had documentation to prove it. Burt probably had the film.
