My best Metal detector finds

So, my metal detector broke recently. I tried to fix it and was able to get one more metal detecting session out of it before it failed completely. It’s gone. I found a lot of good stuff over the years I had it. I figured I would post my best finds I found with this detector. All these were found in my yard over the years.

4th best find: a Cub Scout neck thing.

3rd best find: a piece of jewelry with rhinestones.

2nd best find: a British button (how it got in the ground in Idaho, I’ll never know.)

My number one best find: a sterling silver CTR ring.

RIP my metal detector, you will be missed.

It was a cheap metal detector. A bounty hunter tracker IV. Nothing too expensive.

Due to a financial issue, I’ve yet to afford another metal detector.

There are some great detectors out there with mid-range prices. Look into the Garrett Ace series, they are great machines. An upgrade to the Bounty Hunter for sure, but I’m not privy to your money, so it’s just an idea. Do your research within your budget, and when you’re ready to pull the trigger, use one of the Tnet supporting vendors. You’ll find better deals if you shop around and get the extras that most dealers offer. I can vouch for Bart @ Bigboyshobbies. He’s always done right by me. Good luck!

Condolences on your loss.
Time heals all they claim.
Start saving and before you know it you'll be in the market to replace the machine.
Also keep your eye on the forums used machine sales.
There's been lots of great machines at reasonable prices.

Keep your eye on craigs list or facebook marketplace postings in your area. Lots of people give this hobby a try and then lose interest and then unload their detector. My current machine that I use I found on CL it was new in the box and even still on warranty and it was a steal.
