4 boxes tonight, half way through the first...

So, I picked up my four boxes tonight, and right away i notice that most (80%) of the coins appear to be uncirculated. I have never seen halves like this before, what is the craziest to me, is that they are all mixed dates. I have found one 1965 and at first glance i would have sworn it was a 90%er just because it is uncirculated and looks that good. I am wondering, if anyone has any feedback about this? Should I be setting some aside to start a book? Or anything? Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

So I finished all four boxes, and it seems pretty slim for four boxes, I ended up with four (4) total- 40%'ers. I am curious as to some of your thoughts out there, Is an average of 1 per box pretty common? It seems awfully low to me, but should I be happy about 1 40%er per box? What are some of your averages?

I also found a 2005 S cameo proof. pretty cool lookin.

I have had a few boxes where the coins looked stunningly good. It is like they had just come out of a collection.

I ended up dumping them, but now wish that I would have kept some of those nice coins. I was just too new to the CRH hobby to realize how rare it is to find such SUPER nice coins with absolutely no flaws.

The boxes I am referring to had coins from the 70's, and no silver.

Go buy a book, and have some fun collecting and upgrading.

I always check dates on my halves, but first I edge-check . Remember, the 1965-1970 halves are 40% silver which means that there is 60% copper or whatever else is in the coin. Sometimes I think that shows up on the edge moreless on the more circulated ones compared to uncirculated.

I sometimes miss those "dirty rimmed" 40%ers, but I always get them because I date check as well.
