4 Indians

Found myself a little time to dig,
was kinda strange to pull 4 coins of the same type,
Late IH's from 1883-1909(not an 'S'), got another handpunched pewter button,
a brass lock mechanism and key, the pieces still slide & function.
a brass pushbutton latch thing, Brass 'Toilet Soap' box cover,
and a pretty cool brass compact,
Starburst design on back of mirror, Nice variety of turn of the century stuff,
except for the button, pretty sure that one is a bit earlier.
not a bad outing Great Digs to you!

That is one great soap box! What a treasure. I've never seen one quite like that. You say it is just the cover? If so, I would be scouring the area for the bottom! WTG.

Thanks for all your replies! am searching for the bottom of that soap box, actually 95% of my finds come from a 1/2 mile stretch of coastline that I search frequently. new items keep turning up!

When I saw it was a 1909, I thought that would be rare in itself.
1908 & 09 can have a mintmark below the shield on reverse. both scarce.
