I was scanning my 1865 map and a spot on the map i always wondered about was calling my name. I didn't know how far it would be but i was sure on google earth i knew where to go. I let the wife know where i was heading so if i disappear she would know where to send the search party. Haha
Anyway after around 45 minute fast walk i found the cellar hole. A lot of the field was grown in but luckily there was some nice woods to hunt as well. In the end i found 2 pocket knives, a medical alert, a buckle, a clover heel plate, 2 buttons, 4 silver dimes (1957,1959,1961,1961), 1861 nova scotia half cent & one cent, 1832 nova scotia half penny token,1871 pei one cent and a huge 1843 New Brunswick one penny token. Maybe the field in the spring will hold some finds because the woods was pretty hard on the coppers. I think my favourite find of the day was a 1812 RN master button that cleaned up pretty well with some lemon juice. There was a nice amount of gilt still on it. Thanks for looking! [emoji2]
