This morning I got over to the silver farm for a little while, going over areas that had yielded for me last summer. My first good find was the shinier of the 46 Rosies in the picture, followed by 5 wheats. Nothing spectacular, but better than looking out the window at snow-covered ground. In the afternoon, I went over to an old country church (1873) that a neighbor had obtained permission for; he's a long time member and has gotten me into at least a half dozen properties in the last year. I worried that it might already have been searched, but started anyway. Before long, I had a 20 wheat, this 99 Indian and 10 V nickel, followed by the tarnished Rosie (also a 46). There is a lot more ground around the church to cover, so I'll be going back. Given those finds so far, there's got to be old silver in the ground!
