Awhile back there was a rumor I heard about a cache being found with several $50 gold pieces. My question is this possible to have 50 dollar gold pieces as they seem so rare?

Gold bullion $50 one-ounce coins were minted from 1986 though, at least,2010; in some years in mintage over 1M per year. So, is it possible to find such a cache? SURE. Is it probable: Not likely.

Smart people that find caches of slugs or caches of double eagles or anything worth great value always insist.....Mum is The Word. There are caches of slugs to be found, somewhere. Just because something is so rare does not mean they dont exist in caches. I have heard rumors of a cache of slugs found about 100 miles from me, in the Adirondack Mountains of all places. It is a rumor about a cache of slugs being found. Who makes that crap up? I assume its true.
