Went hunting yesterday at a new spot. Spent some time inside an old garage. The best item found was this old Ford key(bottom middle). Does anyone know what year or years Ford made keys like this? And later on in the yard I found a Mercedes 500 SE matchbox car next to the driveway, its been run over a few times ! On the lower left hand side of picture. Found in the yard and deep it was. under roots and rocks. The mystery item appears to have a pointer, near bottom side of picture. Have no idea what this part is ??? possibly some old radio part? On the right bottom we have a piece that sure sounded off good. Another mystery item, from some sort of wind instrument, have found these many times in the past in different sizes and lengths. Have no idea the exact instrument, does anyone know?

I would nail that key down to 50's and early 60's. they still make the same key to look original when you buy a new switch. cool finds :icon_thumright:

Key looks to be from the 60's, we have a 1966 Ford truck with a similar key. the part on the bottom right might be an organ reed, here is a bent one:

I just sold my '66 Mustang and the key looked the same as that one. I think they stopped making that style when they moved the ignition to lock the steering wheel.

1960 station wagon, also known as "Sherman". The tank was lighter, though. Got me through college in 1970.

Thanks for the input on the Ford key. No one seems to have any ideas on the mystery item lower left tho. Guess some item will stay mysterious.
