Just found gold ring #6 for me tonight and only my second marked 14k. Nice sized mens wedding band too. I was hunting behind a 1950s era school where I have found a decent amount of silver. It was in an area I suspect is fill dirt but it was deep and rang up like a zinc penny. Had it not been deep I probably would not have went for it. Now I need to go back and dig all the shallow zinc signals. Lol

Thanks for the inspiration ! I've been working this 1920's Jr High. I've found three silver rings and a Rosie there so far. I keep telling myself there's gotta be gold in there somewhere.

Ive cleared out most all the deeper high conducters from my public sites so now Im reduced to digging everything else. A gold ring or two is bound to pop up on ocassion. Makes all the pulltabs and other junk a little more bearable. It cant always be virgin sites
