frustration of not finding silver this year got me to go to
the Grounds I remember finding my Last piece of Silver last year in Hopes
I may break This Slump of only finding Wheats & clad so far.
So to beat the Heat I headed out at Dawn
a Little History of the Carnival Grounds:
The carnival grounds of approximately 14 acres was bought from William Wiest on January 8th, 1951 for $2,500.00.The second Fireman's Carnival was held on the grounds on June 26-19, 1951. The carnival has been held on these grounds every year since. Over the years, a cake stand, stage, bingo pavilion, 2 picnic pavilions, playground equipment, and a baseball diamond have been added.
in spite of it's fairly new age of the carnival.
I have pulled a 1790's Half Cent & a 1790's Large cent here
in the past.
as The Tulpehocken trail runs through this town also
And this place rarely lets me leave without a piece of silver
My Gas Rebate today was still slim.
45 Cents
a Bit of trash.
My first 2 coins dug were Wheats
& in spite of the coincidence of them both being 1937
they were not in the same hole
and
The slump is Broken
