8-17 double trifecta :-)

postalgriff · Aug 17, 2011

here are my finds from today. got a trifecta on dimes (barber, merc, rosie) and nickles (V, buff, and war nickel). Also, a couple of Indians and a mangled silver quarter. Some wheats and a few other relics made for a fun day. When I got home the sink was full of dishes, so I had to start on those right away to get an empty sink to clean my finds :violent1:

About 5 minutes in I broke a glass and gashed the side of my finger (pic included) Also, a picture of the prize peach from right at the very top of the tree, unfortunately dropped it and it hit the ladder and split on the other side. :-[

All in all a good day though, thanks for looking, Griff

Awesome score man!!! :icon_thumright:

Now, that looks like a somewhat deep puncture wound. You might want to have a couple stitches put into it so it heals faster and be careful digging, you can easily get an infection from that!

Is the second merc a 1921? If so, you have a key date! :icon_thumleft:

Man, I used to work in the coroner's office, and we did better stitching that that! Did you go to the horse doctor? Wait, they do better stitching. Bummer of a cut, but you have now earned the title of President of the Lawnmower club! I have a similar meat cut on my had. Had to go up to Warren AFB, and since the Dr was out, and I was a Sgt's dependant, the corpsman sewed me up. Must have been his first day. I have a true Frankenstein scar, and that was in 1970. Toughed it out with a bullet between my teeth as the corpsman wasn't allowed needles or anesthetic. Well, maybe I exaggerated the bullet part a little.
