I got this at a yard sale yesterday for a dollar. At first I thought it was a dang near NOS Casio you could get at Walmart for no more than a little over 20 bucks, but it's older and made in the 1980s. It's like brand new and referred as a Casio Marlin. Being made in Japan also adds to it's value. Recent eBay sales I see a high of $157.50 and a low of one with a good size conical chip out of the crystal sold for $26.00. I've made some good profit out of these 70s and 80s geek watches on eBay and I've picked up a lot of them so far. They do better these days than the old 40s, 50s and 60s common mechanical watches anymore, which sold at record prices in the mid to end of the1990s from my experience.

Very nice and very collectible. Hopefully the battery didn’t corrode.

10-4 on that. I think I'll have the jeweler uptown open it. He's got the correct vise and precision spanner wrenches. I got a cheapy spanner wrench and the grip of my left hand to crack open watches. I don't want to have a foul-up and put an ugly gash on this pristine back. The prongs on my wrench are on size fits all. It works okay for already worn and old cases.

That it is and it now has a flesh battery. Evening inside was spotless. It's in like new condition. I'll be hanging on to it for awhile.

I had a Casio calculator watch back around 82 or 83. No idea where it's hiding, but I've still got it somewhere.
