I'm on a small roll here. I keep finding 'em. Today's box:

1 - Balboa
6 - '64s
21 - 40%ers

Thanks,
JasonB

Good Job!!!

That is a dream box in my neck of the woods.

Keep it rolling,
Jason

[JasonB]

Thanks, Shake.

I did two boxes of pennies this weekend also. I found 19 wheat but all 40's and 50's. I found 5 of the new 'Lincoln at the State Courthouse' pennies at a gas station in the 'take a penny tray.' Treasure is everywhere!

That's a great box. Your one box beat the 4 boxes that my wife and I did last Friday.

I agree on the Balboa. I saw some found here that were silver, that would be really cool also. I wouldn't keep a roll of them, but I'll add this one to my foreign collection.

Congrats on yours as well.

Couple weeks ago we got a 1964 Phillipine 50 cent piece, and it be Silver.

[JasonB]

Nice.

I was just reading that these Balboas were actually struck at the US mint for Panama. Apparently we do that for other countries as well.

Learn something new...

Could you tell me about the Balboa?

Is it silver?
Is it Spanish or American?

What is it worth?

Sorry to ask but not familiar with balboas

I got a balboa dime from a vending machine the other day. It's the only foreign clad coin ive ever seen.

It's a Panama coin actually struck by the US mint during the 80s for Panama. It's the exact same clad planchet as a JFK half.

Thanks JasonB

Now I understand the Mint Error listed on CONECA about the
and the Kennedy half Dollar Page
The

Kennedy/Balboa Specimen
