I picked up a $997 bag of half dollars from a bank I had not been to before today.
1 Franklin (1953-S)
2 - 90% Kennedy (1964, 1964-D)
11 - 40% Kennedy (1965, 1966, 1967(2), 1968-D(5), 1969-D(2))
3 Other coins/objects:
1 Canada Two Dollar (1996)
1 German Democratic Republic, 5 Mark (1969)) <--- trying to tell which variety I have as there are two varieties (one is worth $75 in XF, the other only $3 in XF)
1 slug (trying to tell if its silver or just junk, most likely junk)
To get an accurate count they had to run the bag of halves through the coin counter again... I was worried they were going to pull the silver, but they didn't.
They also told me how good their coin counting machine was at rejecting foreign coins.
I also double checked their count and found that I paid $0.50 for the three foreign coins/objects.
All in all a good day.
This might be my last search until next Friday as I have to head out of the country for a week for work.
Unless of course, I stop by the bank tomorrow...hmmmm.
Well I do have to cash in my rejects.
Anything worth getting in Brazil?
This search also puts me over 100 silver coins for the month. Easily my highest total ever.
