A Better Day.........

[CRUSADER]

The weather was cold & windy, just how I like it

I was careful to take regular breaks with my only good arm to stop myself becoming armless

Cru'dad got a wish list coin (he wanted a better conditioned one for quite some time):
Brass Sesterius
Severus Alexander
Rome AD225

The Henry III hammered takes us to 33 this year. 6 off our last years total, & we may make our 50 target.

This field has taken us 3-4 days of very little to get these & it was worth the patience. However we will risk all tomorrow & try new land (again!).

Great roman, hammered and thimble. I like finding thimbles. You must have quite a collections of them (thimbles) now.

[woody50]

Great finds Cru and Cru'dad! The silver thimble is a great find, when you get it fixed up it will be real nice. Don't find many of those myself, a couple but in bad shape! I see you found the past few days more of my buttons!

Wow incredible stuff.

I can't speak for all Americans, but the antiquity of the coins you find are awesome. I usually don't even look at posts like yours, but you have yourself some awesome finds my man, rock on dude.

Good luck,
HH.

As an American living in Holland and searching in the UK some of the time I can agree with you. We just find regularly stuff from the 17th century and earlier. Findings from the earlier eons are not so interesting anymore.... I have never searched in the USA, so can't really compare the two places though....
