Hi all,
The weather was stellar over the weekend here in Mo. so I went out both days..on Saturday I went to one final school I hadn't been to. Besides a few bucks in clad, I managed a cool German coin and a small silver ring. The coin was found inside one of those metal climbing domes..these contraptions are becoming one of my favorite places for me to find all kinds of stuff kids drop while climbing on top of them. As long as I don't gain lots of weight I'll still be able to squeeze into one of the triangular openings to get in and hunt
Yesterday we visited my mother-in-law over the river in Dupo,Illinois..I detected her yard and another yard up the road some years back and got a few silver coins out of them. We were there about a month ago and I was able to ask her next-door neighbor about hunting their yard and they said fine..so I checked the front yard first (a very small yard maybe 30X20 feet). I came up with a '59 Rosie, 9 wheat pennies and a 1944 Canadian penny, my oldest one yet. Then after supper I scanned the same yard again as thoroughly as I possibly could, and came up with a '46 Rosie and 6 more wheats. The back yard was larger but only produced clad, with the exception of 2 wheats (found on the outer perimeters of the yard near the fence) and a small brass locket.
I also found the remains of a shotgun shell, which looks old.
By a stroke of luck, the neighbor next door to them was out barbecuing and asked me if I find anything good with my machine, so I started taking to her for a minute. I was going to ask if I could check her yard but she was kind of hard to read personalitywise, so I didn't ask. After she went inside, a big gust of wind blew her barbecue pit over. I jumped the fince and set it upright. Later she came out and I let her know what happened. Then after about 20 minutes her husband came out and started talking about the neighborhood. He then said "You can scan my yard if you want" ! I was ecstatic he asked me and I took him up on the offer, but since I was visiting and the sun was going down I told him I'd be back the next time we visit my mother-in-law. I'll be sure to post if I find anything interesting from that yard.
Hope everyone's weekend was good.

Usually there's alot to be found in there, and its unfortunate the thing's made of steel tubing or I'd probably find more closer to the structure itself.
