an opportunity to crawl around on bedrock with tweezers and a vial as water recedes. Try to keep this a secret

A fine for turbidity for mother nature, it could be next. Or perhaps for introuducing foreign material into a streambed. Or maybe altering the flow of a stream or creek. Bad, bad mother nature.

Well all I have to say is all the rivers around Sacramento are roaring with water, maybe even set some records. Be Careful Out There........63bkpkr

Kuger, I did not taste it too see how close it was but the color was milk chocolate brown and I'd guess it is that color right now! The general area rivers jumped from 100/200 cfs to the 27,000 cfs area in about three days. I'd say the rivers have been replenished.

Its a shame all the fish have been killed as well as all of the various colored frogs and of course all the water has been freshly tainted with all types of Mercury. Oh but wait, that's only dredging that does that not massive yearly floods like the one we have going right now that scour the river floor so "Everything" goes down river. I would appreciate it if all Cal Government officials would jump into any flooding river right now to determine what is going on as well as all Forest Service officials and a few others who "Need To Determine The Real Conditions".

I think I will just go enjoy the outdoors like I always have........63bkpkr

The CDFG spent $$$$50 million in 10 years studying the Sacramento river after the 1991 Cantara spill. AND our large dredges effects also on the river. Took about 3-4 years for fish populations to bloom toward recovery but after 6 years the massive floods of 97/98 killed over 3/4 of the fish-ALMOST A COMPLETE MATCH TO THE WORST chemical spill in the earths recorded history. 2 years in a row it wiped out even the 150++ year old railroad tracks in the canyon adjacent to the river but up 100'. Funny fact that after a 3 year period, when I completed special use permits through the POO process for all my friends for FREE,the Army Corp/CDFG issued a 5 year special,BUT friggn' Stopher/Banky Curtiss IN RETALIATION FOR SUCH,cancelled all specials from that point on-gdmfsob dogs. Neal Mangee the biologists in charge of dredge studies could only provide the CDFG dredge committee 1994 HEARINGS the following info after camping downstream for over 2 full seasons behind our 6-8-10" dredge ops with every scientific piece of analysis equipment obtainable --Dredgers seem to provide tooo much food for the fish and they seem to be to far healthier and heavier than all other areas of the 27 mile death zone---hahahahaha-GOLD DREDGES MAKE FATTER HEALTHIER FISH--but Stopher utilized his special powers enabled by emergency act to not only close the affected 27 miles of river BUT ALSO 187 MILES OF FEEDER STREAMS TO POINT OF INCEPTION UNTOUCHED BY ANY FRIGGN' SPILL OR FLOOD DAMAGE- that's why I hate that mo'fo' so damn much--floods no bfd to me-John---PS- Bakers are nuggets discolored by basting in the sun for years---not hi waters...
