A Coin I'll Never Find Again Double Struck Conn Copper
Hello Everyone,
This morning found DeArmitt, Mach 1 and 2 and Myself out in the Colonial Field we were at last weekend. The main objective this morning was to find some arrowheads. The field was freshly plowed but no rain before we were there made the arrowhead hunting tough. Of course we do this while swinging our Metal Detectors. I got a scrapper and a flake as well as a beat Copper. I really figured it was just one of those copper disks we find from time to time. Mach 2 got a Musketball and DeArmitt got an arrowhead, he also found the one lower right earlier in the week.
We changed sites after a while and Mach 1 scored 2 Coppers. I got a really beat V nickel. Then the rain came and brought an early end to the day.
After we got home DeArmitt set to cleaning the coins. I was amazed that he was able to bring anything out on this Copper let alone as much detail as he did, Nice Job John
Seems to be a Double Struck Connecticut Copper, The back has no detail.
