✅ SOLVED A Colonial Buckle?

I found this buckle on a site in western Connecticut where a 1750 house once stood. It has a nice, smooth green patina to it. What sort of buckle might it be and could it be colonial? Many flat buttons have come from this general area. I have provided 4 views for clarity. Thanks.

Nice find. Could very well be colonial. Looks like a shoe buckle frame likely 1750's up through early 1800's.
