A couple hours today in Gettysburg

[Digger70pa]

I got out today for a few hours at one of my old spots around Gettysburg. It's beat but still gives up some keepers. Thanks for looking & HH Tim

Nice finds, looks like you were in a confederate spot, I bet you've found some good relics there.

Great finds. If it's beat what has it produced in the past?

Cashtown vicinity I'm guessing, nice finds

I really don't know what's came out of it. My friend lived across the street from it & he & a hand full of others would hunt it every time they plowed. I was told about a carbine sling buckle & bunches of Gardner's came out of there. I don't remember if they found any nice buttons though. Thanks for looking & HH

Mostly what I've been finding is Gardner's. I've found a couple hand full of them & round balls. The sling adjuster is one of the few brass relics I've gotten there. I'm just glad the farmer is cool & lets us dig. Getting on anything close to Gettysburg is a rare thing now days. Thanks for looking & HH

Digger man, you Did Good. Great saves on the Gettysburg Relics. I love to find those Gardner Bullets. We still occasionally find them here in Georgia. A real treat to come across them when we do.

Thank you buddy. I like finding Gardner's also. There not as easy to come by like the usual three ringers. Most of the Confederate spots are pounded compaired to the yanks spots. Even those are getting to be slim pickins. I really like Enfield bullets. I don't find many of those. Good luck & HH

make sure to give the farmer a nice Christmas gift -- a ham is always nice --or fruit basket --or bottle of whiskey
