I went to the old wharf area and got cold and muddy for a few hours. The placed is trashed over with modern junk, but it paid off today. I am always thrilled to see any Rev War show up and this one is easily my best USA pewter. Fresh from the mud! Thanks for looking.

I am still in shock over that button!

SCKeith, that is one beautiful USA button. Both an oldie and a Goodie. What an addition to your display this button will make. Very Well Done, and a great save of our Early American History.:notworthy:

Wow that thing is a stunner!!! Amazing congrats! How deep was it? We need you to go back and find the shank please! :notworthy:

Thank you for your nice comments. The button was found by raking muck and debris. The mud preserves pewter well sometimes like this. I dont know how deep it was but I raked out maybe 6 inches on average, so not real deep.

Awesome preservation, and is that a bit of gold in your hand?

Dream condition
Congrats

That is the most well preserved USA I have seen Keith. Big congrats man! That will be flying high on the banner in no time. My vote going in now!

It is a brass sleeve link button. Mud kept it from getting a patina I guess.
