At first I thought this would have been a strange post.....but now I see just how good of a guy you are.

Hitting the like button is not appropriate, but...you did a good thing. Losing pets stinks.

Thanks for caring and being so kind to not only the poor cat whose fate was sadly an untimely death, but also to the family who is suffering from losing a beloved family member. Losing a pet always breaks my heart. I think your actions prove that you are a kind, caring, and decent person. The world would be a better place if there were more like you.

Best, Erik

That's what's called going "Above & Beyond", Creskol!!!! :notworthy:

Thank you all for the nice replies.

Just 2 days ago, an unfeeling low life of a hunter shot and killed one of my fiend's daughter's cat just because he could. He actually took pictures of him holding the dead cat as if it was a prize winning buck. Makes me wonder what the heck is wrong with people like that!

This is a hard post to read.

Especially your last one Creskol. My family moved out of south florida partly for the same reason. Someone in the neighborhood was shooting pets. We lost 1 cat and another one had to have surgery.

Thank you for being a caring individual. I would have done the same thing.

Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity.

My hat is off to you for taking the time to reach out to the family. A fairly easy gesture that not everyone would do.

You did a very nice thing.
We had an orange cat that disappeared one day a few years ago and never came back.
I will never stop wondering what happened to him...
